In my work I explore the space between the physical and the emotional. I am interested in how memories, emotions and experiences can be translated into physical form, without depicting them literally. I move between painting and sculpture, working with materials such as beeswax, concrete and XPS. Their tactile, visual and symbolic qualities play an important role in my work.
I am constantly looking for tension between opposites: hard and soft, durable and ephemeral, geometric and organic, controlled and intuitive. My visual language emerges from these contrasts. For me, making is a way to pause and reflect on what happens inside, and to create room for new experiences and associations. My work invites you to experience rather than to understand, and creates moments that can be felt.
